FOR BUYERS
How to bid, win, and take delivery
How Bidding Works
All auctions are open bidding — anyone can see the current high bid and bid count. There are no shill bids, no hidden reserves (unless listed), and no proxy bidding manipulation. Place your bid; if you're outbid you'll be notified immediately.
Auction Extensions
Any bid placed in the final 5 minutes extends the auction by 5 minutes. This prevents last-second sniping and ensures every serious buyer gets a fair shot. Auctions can extend multiple times.
Requesting an Inspection
Most listings allow third-party inspection requests before the auction closes. Once a seller approves, you coordinate directly with an independent inspection service. Inspection costs are the buyer's responsibility.
Payment & Escrow
After winning, payment is held in Stripe escrow. Once you confirm receipt of the equipment in satisfactory condition, funds are released to the seller. Buyer's premium is 5% on top of the final hammer price.
Titles & Paperwork
Sellers are required to disclose title status before listing. Most heavy equipment doesn't carry a traditional title, but hour meter records, service documentation, and serial numbers are verified where possible.
Shipping & Transport
Buyers are responsible for equipment pickup and transport. Equipment must be removed within 5 business days of payment clearing. We can connect you with vetted heavy haul carriers in most regions.

Listing Requirements
To list equipment you need a verified account. All listings require: accurate equipment description, condition rating, hour meter reading (if applicable), location, and a minimum of 8 photos covering all sides, undercarriage, cab, and any known damage.
Verification Process
New sellers complete a one-time identity verification before their first listing goes live. This typically takes 1–2 business days. Verified seller status is displayed on your profile and builds buyer confidence.
No Reserve vs. Reserve
No-reserve auctions attract more bids and typically result in higher final prices because buyers trust the item will actually sell. Reserve auctions can protect against low results but often see less activity. We recommend no-reserve for most equipment.
Setting Your Duration
Choose from 5, 7, 10, or 14 days. Seven days is our most popular option. Longer durations give more buyers time to find your listing and arrange inspections, but shorter windows can create urgency.
Fees
Listing is always free. If your equipment sells, our success fee is 5% of the final hammer price, deducted from your payout. Buyers pay an additional 5% buyer's premium on top. Payouts are processed within 3 business days of buyer confirmation.
Your Payout
Once a buyer confirms receipt, Stripe releases funds directly to your linked bank account. If a buyer fails to pay or pick up within the deadline, the item can be relisted at no charge and fees from the original auction are waived.
PLATFORM POLICIES
How transactions are protected
Escrow & Payment Protection
All transactions are processed through Stripe. Buyer funds are held in escrow until equipment delivery is confirmed. Neither party can release funds without the other's participation — protecting both buyer and seller.
Dispute Resolution
If a buyer and seller can't agree on equipment condition vs. listing description, our team reviews submitted evidence (photos, inspection reports, communications) and makes a binding determination. We aim to resolve disputes within 5 business days.
Prohibited Items
We only list wheeled and tracked construction, agricultural, and industrial equipment. We do not list vehicles requiring standard road registration (passenger cars, light trucks), aerial work platforms under 19 ft, or hand tools.
Bid Retractions
Bids are binding. Retractions are only permitted in cases of clear input error (e.g., $1,000,000 entered instead of $100,000) and must be requested within 15 minutes of placement. Patterns of retraction result in account suspension.
FREQUENTLY ASKED
Quick answers
Do I need an account to bid?
Yes. You can browse all listings without an account, but you must be registered and verified to place bids.
What does "No Reserve" mean?
The seller has agreed to sell to the highest bidder regardless of price. The auction will close and the winner will be obligated to purchase.
Can I inspect equipment before bidding?
Yes, if the seller has enabled inspection requests. Click "Request Inspection" on the listing page and the seller will confirm a window. Inspection services are arranged and paid for by the buyer.
What happens if I win and then can't pay?
Failure to pay within 48 hours of auction close results in a non-paying bidder strike. Three strikes result in permanent account suspension. The item is relisted and the seller's fees are waived.
How do I know a seller is legitimate?
Look for the verified seller badge on their profile. Verified sellers have completed identity verification and have their business credentials on file.
Is the buyer's premium negotiable?
No. The 5% buyer's premium is fixed and non-negotiable. It covers payment processing, escrow management, and platform operations.
Can I sell equipment I'm still using?
Yes. The auction duration is designed to give you time to plan around the sale. Just make sure the equipment is available for pickup within 5 business days of payment clearing.
What currencies are supported?
All transactions are in US Dollars. International buyers may bid but are responsible for currency conversion, import duties, and shipping from the listed US location.
